George Oleinik

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the age of 92 and is now with his wife Eleanor, just in time to celebrate their upcoming 70th anniversary. Loving dad of Mark (Susan) Oleinik, Pamela Oleinik (fiancé Eric Thobaben), Sue (Dave) Broadfoot, Robyn (Thom) Kieffer, and Diane (Tim) Brown. Beloved grandfather of Ann (Kam Foruhar) Oleinik, Robert (Maggie) Oleinik, Michael Oleinik, Elizabeth (Jordan) Rogers, Andrew (Amanda Dahlke) Heston, David (Kate) Broadfoot, Joe (Jenny) Broadfoot, Jonathan Broadfoot (fiancé Makayla Hirst), Mark Brown (fiancé Rachel Jackson), Dan Brown, Lexi Brown, Julia Brown, Alaina Brown, and Jon Brown. Proud great-grandpa of 7. Brother of Paul Oleinik, Vern Oleinik, Thomas Oleinik, Roseann Gusman, James Oleinik, and Loretta Robl. George will also be missed by many other family and friends.

 

Preceded in death by his wife Eleanor and siblings Joseph, Norbert, Florian, Adam, and Conrad.

 

George was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a landscape contractor and a real estate developer. George was also a decorated Korean War veteran.

 

A special thank you to the staff at Shorehaven in Oconomowoc for their wonderful care of George.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.

 

A gathering will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin from 2:00 PM until 4:15 PM. Memorial service will begin at 4:30 PM. Livestreaming will be available on the funeral home website. Private family interment St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
