Louis Raymond Schmidt
age 80, of Park Falls, died on Wednesday September 5, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 9, 1938, the son of William and Rose (Palecek) Schmidt. His early life and schooling were in Park Falls where he graduate from high school and later attended U.W. Eau Claire. Louis was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He was married to Georgia Jarosinski. Louis worked for Hines Lumber Company, the US Forest Service, the Flambeau Paper Mill, was a Power Plant Operator, but spent most of his life as a sheet metal worker. He was a champion basketball player, baseball player, and golfer Louis was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved his children above all else and was deeply proud of each of them.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Rosella Draxler.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 29, 2018 at 11:00am from St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Park Falls. Fr. Shaji Pazhukkathara and Deacon Chet Ball will co-officiate.
A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00am until the hour of the service on Saturday.
Interment will take place at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls at a later date.
