Jack Huff

Jack G. Huff, age 86, of Custer passed away Friday October 14, 2016 at the Portage County Health Care Center. Private funeral services will be held. Jack was born November 10, 1929 in Chicago, the son of John and Sophie (Lehman) Huff. The family moved to Custer in 1946. Jack joined the United States Army in 1951. He served his country in both Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the service in 1971 as a CSM -Command Sergeant Major. Jack maried Romona Worzalla in 1953 in Blenker, WI, the couple had six children. Jack worked at Cash and Carry, Wolohans, and retired from Hamel Forest Products. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, wood working, and spending time with his grandchildren. Jack is survived by his wife Romona and 5 children: Pamela (James) Meshak, Denise Zimmerman, Scott Huff, Lawrence (Jennifer) Huff, and Wendy (Thomas) Feltz. 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Sherry, and 2 brothers: Kenneth and Dennis.
